Kalongo Women’s craft group
[soliloquy id=”167″] The women of Kalongo village formed a group to spend time together making crafts. Together they have amazing skills in basketry, bead work, mat weaving and jewellery making. Spend an afternoon with the group learning how to make a small basket which you will take home with you when you go. Enjoy the company of the ladies (and probably some children too!) and hear about their lives, homes and communities. After some light refreshments the ladies will perform a farewell song for you as you leave them to return to the hotel. The ladies with better English skills will help you talk to the others.
